About Alessandro Costantini
Alessandro Costantini was born in Rome on June 13th, 1965.
He graduated in piano at the Conservatory Francesco Morlacchi in his home town Perugia, Italy.
Classic studies at the Conservatory have formed his technique, but not defined his musical education.
Alessandro Costantini is an eclectic musician, who moves within the most disparate musical experiences. References are numerous, from Classic to Ethnic, but this would be reductive in the face of a musician who ranks among the most interesting ones of the international scene.
His play is cultivated and refined, captivating by his originality and gusto, truly charming and inventive without losing itself in useless phrasing. His pianistic technique is brilliant, but clean of virtuosity as an end to itself.
Costantini’s playing is certainly new, even innovative for his quaint use of rhythm and his captivating harmonies. Easily perceptible as contemporary with classical sounds and special rhythmic solutions, which are the main characteristic of his work.
We can say Alessandro Costantini’s music is appreciated by both a young and a mature audience. He satisfies the desire for new, fresh music with evocative virtue.
